4 and a bit years ago I had to give up milk products as they made me horribly sick when pregnant. At first I couldn’t work out what on earth I was going to eat. But then chickpeas came to my rescue – even when everything else is full of milk powder, hummus and falafel are safe.
But I still struggled with what to eat and later with what to feed my daughter, who also turned out to not get on well with milk. 4 years later and we’re here, not suffering from malnutrition and I’ve decided to write about how we do it.
